Looking for IBM/Lotus BP in Zimbabwe

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011
An SMB customer contacted us - they want to deploy Foundations in order to get Notes/Domino so that they can deploy eProductivity. (This seems to happen a lot, that we attract customers to Notes & Domino who are not already Notes & Domino users)

Anyway, we explained that Foundations hardware is no longer available and recommended that they contact a Lotus BP to assist them in planning a deployment of Lotus Notes/Domino.  Unfortunately, I do not have a referral to offer.

I'm going social and reaching out to the Lotus (oops, IBM) community to see what you may know that can help.

Do you know of an outstanding Lotus/IBM BP in Zimbabwe?

Thanks!

Eric

They could place it with us in a cloud environment instead of a whole server license

Chris, a cloud solution may work well for them but they will need a business partner to get set up. eProductivity works with Notes and does not care if the server is in the cloud or on-site so that is not an issue. Since they are new to Notes and Domino, they will need assistance, which is why I'm trying to connect them with a BP.

I will direct them to this thread so they can read the responses. I'm happy to recommend your company.

Hello Eric

I am a Freelance Consultant working from India.

I have total experience of over 9 years in Lotus & have been a part of some major Notes/Domino deployment in India.

I was also a part of IBM India in the software group.

If possible you can align me to the customer.

Regards

Piyush

Hi Eric,

You may want to give Sambiri a try. They are more focused on the hardware side of IBM services, but list Lotus in their portfolio.

If this is a one off, they may have a lead to a smaller BP.

As for the cloud offering?? I have serious doubts whether you will get any decent bandwidth in Zim, even with local replication.

My 2c worth.

Hi Eric

I am the MD of Sambiri Zimbabwe, an IBM BP based in Harare and we are interested in this opportunity if it's still live. Michael made reference to our company in the thread above (thank you so much for the plug) and a former employee told me you were looking for a local BP. Sambiri Zimbabwe is rebranding to SaGE Services derived from Sambiri Global Enterprise Services. Please kindly forward their contact details to me. Thank you for posting this.

Hi Tapua,

Thanks for reaching out. We've alerted our client to this thread, so they have the necessary contact details if they wish to pursue a BP further. It's in their court.
